The Life Cycle Analysis (ACV) and other methodologies derived as carbon and hydric footprint are actually tools hugely recognise to evaluate the environmental viability of processes and products, as it shows, at a spanish level, the Real Decreto 163/2014 by which the register og the carbon footprint is created or, at a european level, the creation of the Life Cycle Analysis European Platform and the identification of the ACV inside the programme Horizon 2020 as a key tool for taking deciions and the elaborationof policies. Spain has different griups working on the field of ACV that are reference at a global level. The Excellence Network pretends to boost the sinergies between all the groups, giving a cualitative jump that allows facing in an effective way the ACV outstanding challenges. This would mean a great step in feasebility of the associated sustainability analysis, making possible a better decision making at different scales (politics, industrial, etc.)
